Fountain Voices

Fountain Voices is a performance-based residency program in which participants collaborate to devise an original new work. The program intentionally balances performance and creative writing, providing opportunities for both artistic expression and agency. Promoting civic engagement and volunteerism is a unique aspect and goal of this program. Throughout the summer, participants volunteer and learn to advocate for the needs of partner organizations throughout Los Angeles. Working with teaching artists, participants then weave their volunteer experiences together to develop a play that asks vital questions of their community while amplifying the needs of community partners.
