Fountain Playwrights is an in-school playwriting residency program that supports The Fountain Theatre’s long-standing focus on new play development. Each semester, teaching artists partner with classrooms throughout Los Angeles guiding students through a writing curriculum that centers individual voice, identity, imagination, and the craft of playwriting. The residency culminates with each student writing and publishing a 10-minute play that explores contemporary social issues.
