POSITION: IMPACT AND ENGAGEMENT MANAGER 

CLASSIFICATION: PART TIME, SALARIED, EXEMPT 

THE FOUNTAIN THEATRE 

IMPACT & ENGAGEMENT MANAGER 

The Impact & Engagement Manager will collaborate with the Artistic Director and Managing Director on designing  and implementing programming connected to the work on our mainstage, building community and enhancing the cultural/artistic competency of audiences of every age.  

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

Duties include: 

  • Co-design forward facing community engagement initiatives connected to each production of the season Facilitate programming connected to each production of the season 

  • Fountain for Youth program recruitment, implementation, and evaluation  

  • Teaching Artist recruitment, management, and supervision  

  • Community partnership recruitment, management, and relationship maintenance  

  • Program budget maintenance  

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or AA/AS degree plus equivalent experience 

  • Minimum of 3 years Teaching Artist or Arts Education or Community Building experience

  • Energetic self-starter with exceptional attention to detail 

  • Collaborative and creative in approach to impactful arts programming 

  • Understanding of relationship building across diverse communities 

  • Familiarity with Los Angeles school districts and arts education programming  

  • Passion for live theatre and performance 

  • Proficient in GSuite (Google Docs, Sheets, etc) and Canva

  • Knowledge/Comfort with social media platforms and common productivity tools (i.e. ClickUp, Slack, etc)

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and an ability to manage relationships with a diverse range of personalities in  various departments and roles within the organization and in the larger local and national communities.

POSITION: ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

CLASSIFICATION: PART TIME, HOURLY, 25 HR/WEEK

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

The Administrative Assistant reports to the Managing Director with additional duties assigned by the Artistic Director and Staff Accountant. The Administrative Assistant works across departments to support daily operations as well as the larger goals of the organization. Daily tasks range from answering calls and emails to light bookkeeping, notetaking, social media posting, and project management support.  The ideal candidate is someone who possesses a positive outlook, a desire to learn the ins and outs of non-profit theatre management, highly organized, and comfortable working across a variety of software programs. This is an in-person position (some remote work possible) at 5060 Fountain Avenue, Los Angeles, California.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

General Admin:

  • Data entry across multiple platforms

  • Google Drive management and maintenance 

  • Checking and sorting mail

  • Notetaking during meetings

  • Sorting, filing, stuffing envelopes, etc

  • Ordering and inventorying supplies

Communications & Development:

  • Entering and tracking tasks in ClickUp (project management software)

  • Posting to social media, recording analytics, and engagement activities

  • Sending outreach emails and tracking responses

  • Database management

  • Preparing mailings, print orders, etc

  • Asset management (i.e. creating and tracking Google forms)

  • Minor website updates (SquareSpace)

Patron Services:

  • Monitoring Box Office phone line and email account

  • Preparing reports in AudienceView

  • Create and organize Front of House documents and supplies

Finance:

  • Entering and coding expenses

  • Tracking vendors

  • Creating & manipulating spreadsheets

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of theatre/performing arts particularly in the non-profit sector

  • Experience working with G-Suite Programs is a must

  • Demonstrable familiarity and aptitude with multiple platforms, software, and digital tools (ideal candidate will have experience with one or more of the following: QuickBooks, AudienceView, Canva, ClickUp, HootSuite, & SquareSpace)

  • Commitment to the Theater’s diversity and equity goals.

  • Energetic self-starter with exceptional attention to detail.

  • A sense of humor.
