FOUNTAIN VOICES
Theatre provides a gateway to empathy as no other art form can do. It allows us to see ourselves and our community. Yet most public schools across Los Angeles have little to no funding for arts education, especially theatre. Thousands of students graduate high school every year without any experience in the arts. At The Fountain, we believe it is vital that we make theatre and arts education accessible to all of our youth. Fountain for Youth is our initiative to provide programming that services our community’s youth population in a multitude of ways.
WALKING THE BEAT
In partnership with Elizabeth Youth Theater Ensemble, the Los Angeles Police Department, and local schools, this transformative nine-week summer residency pairs students and police officers in an innovative theatre-arts based experience that develops empathy, communication and community.
TICKETS FOR YOUTH
The Fountain Theatre provides discounted tickets to students of all stripes, from Student Discounts on all listed performances, to our partnership with TeenTix, to Free Student Fridays. School groups are also eligible for free or deeply discounted tickets.
