"America On Line" is a musical about four 1980s-born childhood friends grappling with their lives (literally), having come of age straddling the chasm of the pre- and post-Internet worlds. After years of being physically apart, these four elder millennials reconnect for an in-person dinner during an Internet and cellular outage. As they get nostalgic about the early techno optimism that solidified their bond, they come face-to-face with how their digitally connected world is running interference with their ability to deeply connect. "American On Line" is "The Big Chill" meets "Company" meets "Rent"–but make it Millennial.

Each character illustrates a modern millennial archetype; a successful startup entrepreneur, an organic farmer, a higher-up in corporate tech, and a ‘slashie’ designer/influencer living abroad. As the musical unravels, so do the emotional and personal challenges of each character. The audience discovers that they are going sober, grappling with mental health, facing terminal illness, and struggling to find a healthy balance between their relationships to technology and IRL human connection. The two-act show retells millennial tech history with dynamic interpersonal narratives and contemporary, original music spanning indie rock, hip hop, jazz, ska, folk, funk, and emo musical genres.
