A Life Dedicated to Fearless Theatre
For more than three decades, Simon Levy has challenged audiences, championed new voices, and helped define the artistic identity of the Fountain Theatre. Through his productions, mentorship, and unwavering belief in theatre as a force for social change, he has inspired generations of artists and audiences alike.
Some evenings entertain. Others become part of a theatre's history.
Join us for an unforgettable one-night-only celebration honoring Simon Levy's extraordinary artistic legacy with a special performance of Athol Fugard's Sizwe Bansi Is Dead, directed by Simon Levy and featuring Gregg T. Daniel and Chuma Hunter-Gault.
After Gregg and Chuma take their bows, we will turn the spotlight on Simon with a special tribute followed by a presentation of the inaugural Simon Levy Social Justice Directing Award. Then, the party moves upstairs to the Dorothy Wolpert Café where we’ll raise a glass for all of the evening’s honorees.
