LIST OF PAST PLAYS
Thursday, July 18
9am to midnight
Starring: You, me, us.
This is a FREE EVENT to the public.
In our continued commitment to community service and social action, the Fountain Theatre believes it’s time for Los Angeles to engage in the national conversation about the Mueller Report. We’ve been told what it is, what it isn’t. What’s in it, what’s not. But how many have actually read it for themselves? We’ve been told that even some members of Congress haven’t read it.
Robert Mueller told us the report speaks for itself. But who can give voice to the report?
Who better than our L.A. theatre community!
Over 90 readers representing the rich diversity of Los Angeles, including actors, artistic leaders, community leaders and business people read the Report in 10-minute slots.

If your slot is not available, please sign our WaitList and we’ll get back to you if anything opens up.
And if you’d like to be a “Stand-By” Reader in case someone is late or has to cancel at the last minute, please sign our Volunteer Form below.
Each reader will choose one 10-minute slot, and will pick up from where the last reader stopped. Which means you would need to be at the Fountain about 20 minutes prior to your slot.
We will provide all materials, including the Report, a podium and microphone, etc.
The event will be live-streamed on Facebook and Twitter. A link to the stream will be provided at the top of this page when it is live. #MuellerLA
Our doors will be open the entire day for audience members to come and go as they please, to watch and listen for as long as they like. We’ll encourage each reader to bring a posse of friends to cheer them on.
PLUS – it’s a PARTY! Our charming indoor/outdoor cafe will be open upstairs all day and all night. Food! Drinks! Debate! Arrive early, stay late. Menu.
In May, 24 House Democrats read the entire Mueller Report in the US Capitol hearing room. The reading was broadcast live on CSPAN. In June, more than 100 theatre people read the Report in a marathon event at the Arc in New York. A few weeks later, volunteers lined up in a San Francisco coffee shop to read it aloud. Just recently, Robert Schenkkan presented an adapted version of the Report, “The Investigation – A Search for the Truth in Ten” with a celebrity cast that was live-streamed. And Arena Stage in D.C. will present a reading of Part 2 of the Report on July 11th.
Now it’s our turn.
As Franklin Delano Roosevelt said, “The ultimate rulers of our democracy are not a President and senators and congressmen and government officials, but the voters of our country.”
Will you join us?
